A very successful CAFOD Clifton roadshow was held in Stonehouse recently with about 30 enthusiastic and engaged attendees.

The CAFOD Clifton Roadshow is a team of volunteers who visit parishes to deliver a comprehensive overview of CAFOD and emphasise the importance of regular giving. This team of 4 have been trained in presenting the Roadshow and do a great job!  This event had the added bonus of a highly motivational guest speaker, Susan Kambalu a CAFOD staff member who spoke about her recent time in Zimbabwe on behalf of CAFOD.

The roadshow also outlined from where and how funding is raised for CAFOD:

  • The importance of giving regularly as any income regularly received, enables CAFOD to plan for the future more effectively
  • Details of CAFOD how distributes its funding by such means as CAFOD’s Hands On and Connect2
  • Information about Legacies and Wills
  • Challenges facing CAFOD at present

Comments from the roadshow included: “A Deacon who attended was very keen to get actively involved in promoting CAFOD but wanted to make his Parish feel engaged with a community they were helping”

The team have delivered the Roadshow already to a few parishes in Clifton,
and are available to do to come into your parish too.
