89 Year 10 pupils gathered from St. Bede’s, St. Bernadette’s, St. Gregory’s, St. Augustine’s, St. Peter’s and St. Joseph’s schools and colleges with staff to spend the day in the CAFOD Young Volunteer programme hosted by St. Bede’s in Bristol.
The CAFOD Young Volunteer Programme gives the pupils a chance to take their passion with social justice and turn it into action by learning new skills in campaign planning, engaging with the community and leadership skills to name a few. The day was also a great opportunity for pupils to meet other pupils from schools in the diocese who share the same passion and interest. This was the first session in a series of 5 that will end in June 2016.
The Clifton Diocese Youth Ministry team with CAFOD HQ staff presented the day and are excited to see the year unfold with the pupils.
